The Folio Society. First edition thus. 2013. Limited to 1000 copies, this being number 447. In two volumes in a brown cloth clamshell box which has a separate compartment for the smaller explanatory volume. This facsimile edition has been produced from the originals held at the Yale Centre for British Art. It was produced by Dot Gradations, Wickford, Essex, and printed by Appl, Germany on Natural Evolution paper. It has been bound in quarter Nigerian goatskin leather by Zanardi, Padova, Italy. The cloth boards have been printed and gilt blocked with a design by David Eccles based on Blake's original drawing. Gold endpapers. The facsimile volume is very large 4to. The second volume 8vo and bound in grey cloth gilt. Both volumes are fine and housed in a brown cloth clam-shell case, with very slight signs of shelf-wear. 72481

This being number 429. Large 4to. Quarter vellum, gilt text, vellum tips to corners of boards. Top edge of pages gilt. Illustration of leopard in tree to front cover has been produced with metallic foil blocks and has a decorative gilt border. The original etching is mounted to a brown page of the prelims and also has a decorative gilt border. Illustrations to endpapers. 14 mounted coloured plates, also bordered, which are superb, almost breath-taking. There are also drawings in text, gilt borders to chapter headings and poems plus a black and white illustration of the appropriate animal to the end of each chapter.
