Contains The Illustrated Exhibitor June - December, 1851 pages 1-556 with a preceeding 54 [xliv] page list of the awards, directions to binder and a historical introduction to the exhibition and followed by a hand-coloured folding plate of the exhibition, a plan of the exhibition with light blue covers bound in and many printed examples of ephemera from the exhibition bound also at rear which include folding plates and plans, booklets, tables, small catalogues, etc. Six printed labels from exhibitors attached to endpapers. Very large folding engraved frontis. plus 9 other folding plates, as called for. Numerous engraved plates and illustrations in text. Boards worn and rubbed, especially to extremities. Hand-coloured plate slightly torn along crease and along inner hinge. Large folding plate opposite page 135 slightly torn along hinge without loss. Pages browned otherwise a sound copy of a scarce Great Exhibition item.
