1 RAB. [Rachel and Andrew Cassels Brown] The Story of the Stubbydub.
W. Westall & Co. Ltd. London. N.d. [1918]
SCARCE. 4to. Fully illustrated children's picture book with 6 full page and 1 double page full colour illustrations, all other pages with illustrations in b/w. Handsomely produced and somewhat surreal story in poetic form. The Stubbydub has an almost human form with long clawed yet webbed duck-like legs and feet, webbed hands, elongated pig-like ears and a long tail. The colours and the quality of the illustrations are like a Kate Greenaway book though the content is very different. Original illustrated paper covered boards, worn at extremities, pages browned, two inch tear to one coloured illustration and similar tear to bottom corner of title page, inner gathering re-attached at some stage and stands sl. proud of other contents. VG. 40188
Price: 125.00 GBP
