First edition. With a splendid pen and ink original drawing to the half-title of a man in hunting gear, looking slightly worried, as his horse jumps down a bank. The illustration is labelled "Safe as the Bank" and signed "G Denholm Armour" and dated 1937. It is a wonderful addition and makes this a unique copy. Original red cloth gilt. Spine sl. faded and crumpled and nicked at head, end papers foxed o/w contents are fresh, clean and sound. A lovely copy. VG+. 30217
