Wood-cut head and tail-pieces and initial letters plus a very attractive plate with wood-cut portraits of the seven Dukes of Normandy. Bound in full contemporary vellum with hand-written titles to head of spine, overlapping fore-edges. Small split in vellum at head of spine. All blanks before title page present. Some contemporary ink notes in marhins and underlining. With the armorial bookplate of Henry Drummond of Albury Park, Surrey. Pages sl. age-browned, bds. sl. marked overwise a clean and sound copy of this early history. Henry Drummond, (1786-1860), was a Historian, Politician, Theologian and the Sheriff of Surrey in 1826. 38641
