Edward Arnold & Co. 1922, 1923, 1925. All volumes First Editions. No DWs. Large 8vo. In original cloth gilt. Vol. I - Blue, Vol. II - Red and Vol. III - Green. All maps and plates present as called for. Vols. I and II have gift inscriptions, the earlier one in Vol. I includes a lovely quotation from Younghusband and is from one mountaineer C.C.G. to another F. C. U. "In memory of Mount Fraochi. The Reconnaisance (and conquest-!) 1922 and gratitude for a second visit to the cottage. Caerketton June 1922." The second inscription is to the top of the front pastedown and is in a more modern hand. Slight signs of shelf-wear and small patches of spotting to boards, head and tail of spines sl. crumpled. Occasional foxing to pages o/w a clean and sound and very attractive set of these early Everest books.
