"Rampant Lions Press Collection of Books" lists this as a publishers binding. Only 13 copies of the 1000 were bound in this way. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers, foxed. Small close tear to bottom margin of free endpaper. Covers slightly warped as is usual with vellum and slightly sunned o/w a near fine copy. With very clean 1920's postcard of the Mill Pond, Granchester, with a quotation by Brooke printed onto photo, loosely inserted. 33698

Very handsomely bound by Bumpus in half sea-blue crushed morocco, gilt. Raised bands, spine sunned with slight impressions to tail of spine. Marbled boards and endpapers, all edges of pages gilt. Bookplate to front pastedown. Neat gift inscription, "S.E.B. from R.R.L. July 18th 1930 Firenze." A very attractive volume. 73560

Second impression of first edition, thus which came out in July, 1918. clix, [159 page memoir of the poet] + 160 pages of the poetry. Portrait frontis. with tissue-guard. Very handsomely bound in half tan Scotch deerskin, which is very rarely used but was only available because deer were shot due to war time food shortages. It was tanned and dyed for Hatchards of Piccadilly. It was prepared free from injurious acids and the natural grain of the deerskin has been preserved. Floral patterned boards, top edge gilt. Slight wear along extremities of spine, which is also slightly faded. Some browning to pages otherwise a clean and sound copy of a beautifully bound volume. 75101
