GASCOYNE, David. Collected Poems. SIGNED PRESENTATION COPY TO MARY HUTCHINSON. 1965 Oxford University Press. London. First edition. 1965. DW. Warmly inscribed by Gascoyne to Mary Hutchinson, the short story writer, artist's model, member of the Bloomsbury group and long term lover of both Clive Bell and Aldous Huxley and many others (what a woman!) "To dear Mary with affection and gratitude David Gascoyne. Nov 11th 65." Prelims and outer edges of pages foxed otherwise a very clean and fresh copy in a lovely bright wrapper that is very slightly faded to spine. Provenance - From the Hutchinson Library recently acquired for sale by Much Ado Books in Alfriston. Gascoyne during his periods in London in the 1960s kept in touch with Hutchinson who was a great patron of the arts. She had also visited him several times in Paris. 75073
