The letter is addressed to Lt. Colonel L. K. Watson and is dated 22nd November 1945. Vesey-FitzGerald thanks Watson for his letter and explains that the verses he mentions are to be found in the Lonsdale Anthology of Sporting Prose and Verse. 376pp. including index. The edges and joints are worn especially at head and tail of spine though the main areas of spine and covers are in good condition. The inner hinges have been reinforced professionally. All edges of pages gilt, prelim pages chipped and browned to outer edge. Two neat 19th Century ownership inscriptions. Silk ribbon bookmark. Contents remarkably clean and fresh. 76598
