Bound in contemporary full tan calf, gilt, raised bands, 3 of the vols. lack their red morocco labels, extremities worn, spines rubbed, upper joint to vol. III tender. Contents mostly clean and fresh. "The Library of Edward Gibbon. A Catalogue." by Geoffrey Keynes is in original black cloth gilt and is illustrated. According to Keynes' catalogue of Gibbon's library this set came from the Bentinck Street collection.
