The first book in the "Railway Series" by Rev. Awdry was this title. This is probably the second or third printing. The dust wrapper is present but price clipped, the boards are original green cloth gilt. The only title mentioned in the advert at rear of volume is "Thomas the Tank Engine" which was published in 1946. Slight rubbing to head and tail of spine, small area of rubbing along bottom edge near lower corner.
